Flag Animal Farm is a fantastic outing for the children and whole family. At Flag Animal Farm the kids can learn and cuddle with a wide variety of tame farm animals.

Sugar Rush Park is a family focused destination for the whole family, by encouraging out door activities such as mountain biking/cycling or running on the many trails that are designed for the beginners and the more experienced.

Holla Trails is geared for the mountain biking enthusiast with a variety of  routes varying in length and difficulty, form the novice to the most experienced. At Holla Trails we provide adventure trails  for the mountain bikers, trail runners and for those that enjoy walking out in the country.

Ndlondlo Reptile Park is home to a variety  of snakes and reptiles. The object of the park is to educate people about the dangers and beauty of snakes and reptiles. For the interested there are course offered on snake identification, snake awareness, snake handling and snake bite first aid.

Sugar Rush has over 150 km of marked and signed Mountain Bike and running trails. These trails are suitable for both novice and experienced riders. Families can ride together and then enjoy the amenities at the Sugar Rush cycle head quarters which include hot showers and toilets, a bike wash and place to ‘chill’ while enjoying great coffee and light meals at the Sugar Rush Café.
The Sugar Rush Park is a safe, family orientated open space and facilities with a multi-purpose offering.

Fun Flights

Feel the sensations of flight flowing through your veins and experience the thrill and emotion of open cockpit flying.

A microlight flight will afford you the opportunity to view the rolling sugar estates and the alluring Indian Ocean. The flight almost guarantees viewing of Dolphin and Game fish with chances of sighting Whale Sharks, Giant Mantas and turtles, a truly breath-taking experience.


  • 10 Minutes 

This is an inland flight over rolling sugar estates with views of the Indian Ocean.

  • 20 Minutes 

This flights routes from Ballito Airfield and after a few minutes we join the alluring Indian Ocean. We now route along the coastline past Sheffield Beach to Salt Rock. This coastal experience will allow us to enjoy our regular sighting of Dolphin and a variety of sea life, while taking in the spectacular views of the Dolphin Coast.

  • 30 Minutes 

This is our Premier flight and after take-off from Ballito Airfield we fly across beautifully manicured sugar estates toward the coastline. Once over the Indian Ocean we route south past Sheffield Beach, Salt Rock, The famous Chaka’s Rock, Ballito and the Millionaire’s Estate of Zimbali.

The best time to fly microlights is during the morning before the winds increase along the coastline.

Ballito Microlight School cc is run professionally by full time A Grade instructors (Class 1), who are dedicated to providing safe and fun training in a friendly atmosphere at affordable prices.

Training courses are tailor made to suit individual needs. You may prefer to train over an extended period, or enroll for an intense full time course (14-21 Days).

The syllabus has been formulated by the Microlight section of the Aero Club of South Africa and approved by the commissioner for Civil Aviation.

Holla Mountain Bike Trails

Holla Trails are a system of marked mountain biking trails among the farms in the Ballito and Upper Tongaat area. Consists of over 100 kms of marked and signed trails and is continually being improved and added! There are trails for both novice and experienced mountain bikers alike. Riders are amazed at the variety of track and spectacular scenery that is available. There is plenty of tracks for the newer riders and it will finally give many people who want to get into mountain biking the chance to get out without getting lost.

The Holla Trails Centre hosted by Collisheen Estates is a great venue where riders are able to park their cars in a secure environment, and shower after their ride before enjoying drinks and a light meal on weekends. The emphasis at the trail head is to create an environment that returns kids and families to the outdoor activities of the days of old. You won't find any computer games or cartoon networks here. It’s all about getting outside to play.
